To Every Child, Everywhere — You Are The World’s Brightest Gift

To Every Child, Everywhere — You Are The World's Brightest Gift

Today, we pause to honour the heartbeat of humanity.

Children remind us of what is pure, what is possible, and what is worth protecting.

Their laughter softens the hardest days, and their questions keep hope alive.

Every child arrives in this world as a story still being written.

They do not choose their gender, their birthplace, or the circumstances they enter.

Yet every child deserves the same measure of dignity, protection, guidance, and love.

In the spirit of today, we echo a truth many still overlook:

“You are a parent because you have a child, not because of their gender.” — Mrs. Oyinade Samuel-Eluwole

A boy is not “less.”

A girl is not “more.”

Every child is a full human being with dreams, fears, abilities, and voices that deserve to be nurtured with tenderness and respect.

Today, we honour:

children who are celebrated and children who are often overlooked

children in safe homes and children living with uncertainty

children in classrooms and children still denied the chance to learn

children who run freely and children growing up behind walls of hardship

children whose brilliance is visible and children whose gifts are still unfolding

children who speak loudly and children whose voices are quiet but powerful

Every child deserves to grow without fear.

Every child deserves to be seen without comparison.

Every child deserves a world that protects their innocence and nurtures their potential.

May we raise them with patience.

May we guide them with kindness.

May we love them without bias.

And may every child, everywhere, grow in safety, dignity, and peace.

Happy World Children’s Day.

Today and always — we choose every child.
